[I forgot to post yesterday]
While I've been able to sleep w/my stupid shoulder, I've been sleeping wonkily -- and now my neck hurts. Mister is putting a call into a healing massage therapist and hopefully she'll be as good as her Yelp reviews say she is. That would be nice.
There was a problem last night with Smitty. As in, he got down and couldn't get up and we thought it was an epileptic seizure of something like that. OMG, that horse may have caused me no small amount of grief, but seeing that about killed me. He seems to be OK now, and the vet thinks it might have something to do with the Western saddle that was put on him being ill fitting and whatever, but still....
Fuck.
At this point, the joy of horse has been clouded over by the heartbreak of horses. I told Mister I was ready to get a new hobby and I almost meant it.
...
Family stayed home today because the kid coughed until 10 last night. I finally went in and soothed her and she went right off to sleep. I don't know what it is, but momma touch is magic. Anyway, it sounds like she's done very well today with minimal coughing, so HOPEFULLY she can go to school tomorrow. We're all getting tired of her staying at home.
Mister offered me the chance to just come home and he'd handle shopping and horse feeding, and I may take him up on it. It'd be nice to take a few muscle relaxants, get comfy, and read for the rest of the evening. We'll see. I'm always in such a rush to get out of this city and make my way to my mountain: I love it there. =D
Speaking of my mountain, I put four tomato plants in some planters and am hopeful that we can get some produce this summer. The deer are always an issue with anything we have out, but I don't think they'll get on the deck. Then again, I didn't think they would get in the bird feeders and they have. Jerks. Ha.
My herbs are doing great, my flowers are thriving (well, except for the ranunculus -- I just don't get the hang of those), and the deck is turning out to be a lovely place that I really enjoy. If/when we get our deck expanded and fancified, it's going to be a true oasis out there.
~~~and I walked away from this entry. lol
