The End Is Nigh!
May. 31st, 2018 11:14 amI'm almost finished cleaning up my room enough so I can check off all the boxes on my To Do Before Leaving Campus list; without it, I won't be officially done. All that's left is to clean off the table in back of my desk, my desk, and the "catch all" table by the computers. I should get that finished today, so tomorrow will be trying to get through the day without the kids being totally insane.
It should be fine.
Tonight after work I'm going out with some work people for a drink. We're saying goodbye to our vice principal and it sort of sucks, but at the same time it's hard to muster anything beyond survival mode. Husband will pick me up from the bar and we'll head home, do a quick hour of tidy-up for the cleaning ladies, and take care of the horse. It will be a late night. :(
Tomorrow, it's a half day. We'll either go see a horse a few hours away OR go see a movie. Horse buying is stressful, for reals.
Yesterday, we went and looked at a horse in Ventura. I liked him a LOT, but his price? Did not like a lot. Liked NONE, in fact.
Someone needs to just get me a horse and put it in the pasture with the others. Thank you very much.
.
I keep thinking that this school year will never be over, even though it's basically over. What a weird feeling. This is the first year that there's been no work indoors, no big whoop of stuff going on, no house hunting, etc etc etc. Even with the horse lookin', I think it will be a lovely period of rest. Fingers crossed on that.
What I really need, really, really, really need, is a few days of silence and decompression. I need to shake the grime of the school year off and blossom in the sun. ;) Cheesy: I has it.

OK. Time to work on the last few tables so I can check another box off. Woot.
