without coffee, i'd probably not survive
Mar. 11th, 2021 12:51 pmpuppy nandor LIKES the snow -- he snarffled in it, dug in it, rolled in it, ate it, turned it yellow, and generally had a good puppy time. love it!
puppies are cute for the same reason little humans are cute; so we don't get so fucking sick of getting up with them in the middle of the night that we put them up for adoption. he *is* getting better -- last night he actually slept from 11-5:30. genius puppy! mister has been getting up with him for the past few weeks and it's usually been 2-3 times before he's up for good, so we've all been tired. him because he had to get up, me because i woke up. lol :( i honestly don't mind getting up so early IF i can get solid sleep at night. so if little man keeps this up, we should be in good shape.
he's a good little fella, too. :)

after mister got up, we spent time going over subscriptions we have to see where we can unsubscribe to save some money. IF i end up quitting work, we want to keep things as "normal" as possible -- i do not do well with scarcity of money and being budget conscious, but i'm willing to try. so the subscription cuts we're looking at are going to pay for disney annual passes. we are right now $65 away from having that monthly bill taken care of. sweet.
IF i end up quitting work, i want to do disneyland day trips as much as possible. kid will be pissy, lol.
me: hi, honey. after we drop you off at school, we're going to disneyland. you'll need to take the bus home, hike up the hill, and take care of animals and yourself.

mister asked me a question earlier:
would you rather be a happy pauper (because i'm convinced we'll starve if i quit) or a miserable having-money person?
it was the wrong question, really, because i'm not miserable at my job....i'm just happier NOT at my job. i'm happier when i can work in my PJs and be creative and go for walks and listen to podcasts while i work. i'm happier when we can go to the beach mid-week vs. just on weekends. i'm happier when i can go to disneyland w/o making sub plans.
with shuffling money around, we shouldn't feel me quitting so much that i'm scared -- but that's on paper. lol
plus, horses are expensive. what if i need another one? and if i quit, you know there will be two goats that just randomly show up here. and chickens.
o.O
*sigh*

in other bits:
* i want to take a nap but i'm not going to
* i have no idea what to make for dinner tonight o.O
* i hung a calendar on the wall and feel strangely accomplished
* i finished "rabbits" podcast (finally) and LOVED it so much -- give it a listen if you like creepy storytelling!
