- we got news that we can't get the 2nd vaccine at the place we got it before. they went from moderna to pfizer. what the ever loving fuck? soooooo, we have three weeks to figure out where to get it. if we can't? we start over. so i'm thinking that we might as well just wait three weeks and get the single dose and not get sick. feh.

over the past few weeks, i've been pondering change. specifically, i've been pondering if we are actually capable of real, significant change.

i like to think we can, because if we can't, then i really need to just stay in my lovely little lane and not take that road less travelled. (ALL THE METAPHORS...TOSS THEM ALL IN) i know *real* change is hard and we may never change who we *truly* are, but maybe the key is in recognizing that and work on changing how we deal with the "who we really are" facets vs. trying to modify or eliminate them.

this feels like a philosophical question more than anything else at the moment.

maybe this weekend i'll plant my zucchini and tomatoes. we usually have a last snow/freeze in may, so i'll have to protect them, but things SHOULD be ok. an earlier start means more noms through the season, and i'm for sure OK with that.

we actually found a place for the second shot within the window, so it's good. i didn't know moderna was flexible! o.O

Within a few weeks to a month, I think. So your first vaccine site didn't schedule you for your second? CVS wouldn't let me book my first till I booked both

Yes, they did. But we got notice that the site went from Moderna to Pfizer and had no doses of Moderna at all. Even for 2nd doses. o.O

yesterday I got an e mail from CVS about there being available vaccines for my age group now so I went to their website and jumped through a few electronic hoops only to be told there were no appointments available at all. fuckers. Not sure where I'm supposed to go now.
