liminal_space | the day draws nigh

+ we had our first showings this past weekend and i didn't die. that's a good thing. no one has put an offer on our house yet, so i am — of course — stressing out x 1000 and thinking no one is going to buy it or we're going to have to do a huge price cut to get rid of it...

...etc etc etc and so on.

+ so it looks like we're legit hitting the road on the 14th. as in next thursday. o.O HOLY MOLY, SHIT GOT REAL. kid and i are going to do 3 nights at the grand canyon lodge on the north rim and just detox from the stress. after that, we'll do 5 -6 hour drive days and get to the badlands ntl park for either a day or two, because who wouldn't want to see north america's largest prairie dog town? after THAT, we'll do 5-6 hour days until we get to minnesconsin.

i feel like i'm traveling across country in a covered wagon it's going to take so long. OH. speaking of covered wagons, if we went a different route, we could stay in a camping park that has covered wagons to sleep in. o.O in theory, i'd love doing that! in practice? nope.

+ i went to the doctor on friday to get results on my bloodwork. overall? could be worse, but could be better. i'm at the high end of normal for cholesterol and the low end of high for sugars. :( bad eating over the past two years seem to have actually had an impact. :P i also got put on thyroid medication which made me sad. =\ so there are some changes that need to happen and i've been working at setting the framework for them, which is all i can do right now.

once we get settled, i think things will move faster toward getting eating/exercise back under control, so there's that to look forward to.
