this has been the weirdest of weeks, and not in the fun way weird...more of in the ANNOYING and INCONVIENENT way weird. hrmph.

* kid's tuesday tooth extraction was cancelled because the anesthesiologist on deck quit last week. mister made many phone calls to oral surgeons in our neck of the woods and had to expand the search radius when the soonest she could get in to see someone (relatively) locally was end of january. he found a place in the twin cities for tomorrow morning and instead of doing the 3+ hour drive in the oh-dark-hundred, he and the kid headed down tonight.

i HATE not being with her, but it's just what needed to happen. i gave her the option of me going instead of mister, and she chose him. :( why? BECAUSE SHE THINKS I AM A SHITTY DRIVER.

fair 'nuff.

the good part is that they may be there early enough tonight to hit a few asian markets. if that happens, please wish for me fresh daikon and lotus root.

* yoga didn't happen on tuesday because there was so much WEIRD happening on monday that i slept like shit and wanted nothing more than to stay in PJs and drink coffee. which is what i more or less did. if yoga classes were closer, i would have went — but a 40 minute drive just was NOT on the agenda.

so next week? i have my new yoga mat (which i'm still on the fence about), a good attitude, and $12. *nod* what sucks is that our ceramics class got moved to wednesday mornings (10-1), so that's two days i'm driving for edification. oh, well....as long as the weather holds, i'm happy.

* chickens continue to lay reasonably well! out of 9 layers, we are getting 9 eggs at least half the time and the other half we're landing around 5. these girls are working for their worms!

with the family gone, chicken-to-bed duty is going to be a solo act. you'd think they'd just go into their warm little coop and go mimis, but there are three of them that go dummy mode in the prison yard and just want to sleep there. ugh. so you have to pick them up and take them to the coop — but if the OTHER girls catch wind, they want to come out and say HI, WHAT DOING? so instead of THREE girls not where they belong, you have three sleepers and seventeen curious ninnies wanting to see what's going on, milling around your feet in the chicken foyer (pronounced in the proper, uppity, bougie chicken way kthxbai).

bless their hearts.

* i feel like i may be hitting a wl plateau, and while it's been expected, it's not appreciated. >.< i have to switch my game plan and change up the eating a bit to kickstart loss again — this is the first time in a long time that i've had multiple weeks with minimal loss. =( my body is protesting! i've got plots and plans, so it's all under control. i think.

ok, people. time to go do things and stuffs. =D

i like southern superstitions of eating blackeyed peas and carrots and NOT doing laundry on new years. THOSE are up my alley. in our house, decorations are down usually on the 1st.
