+ i had to call our health insurance people this morning for some clarification on a medication, and it was absolutely NOT painful. i will take that as a huge win! i think part of it comes from mister's company upgrading our plan to a higher tier as part of his raise — we now have an actual "account specialist team" within the insurance company. o.O i got answers, explanations, and helpful hints from a lovely lady named barbara whose southern accent was warm and comforting.

+ we received 4 or 5 inches of snow last night, so traipsing out to the pasture and arena with hay was not fun. it didn't help that the horses follow my sled and snatch bites off when i'm not looking. today i decided to run from them and they ran after me. :( lol hay was flying, i was laughing, and they were shoveling food in their mouths like the bottomless pits they are. got my cardio in, though!

mister was out with me, so after i emptied the sled, i plopped down on it and had him get me back to the house. i was tired! =D

the wind was blowing like crazy, so we had to move misty's teeth floating until next week. that worked out for the vet (dr. dan!), because he was doing an operation on a cow.

in the snow.

and the wind.

it also gives me an opportunity to make him a loaf of cranberry bread which is fast becoming our absolute favorite. (i made some yesterday and changed things out a bit, adding some whole wheat flour to the mix, doing a few more stretch/folds, proofing a bit longer....and it was PHENOMENAL.)

+ yesterday i called my trainer friend M — i haven't spoken to her since we left california and just felt compelled to talk to her. it was a lovely conversation, with no missed beats or awkward pauses that can result from not talking for awhile. i told her how much weight i've lost and how different it makes my Life with Horses(tm) — she went on for a GOOD 5 minutes about how proud she was of me, how she missed me but was happy for me, how weight can be measured in things other than pounds and how she was sure i felt lighter inside as well as out.

how right she was!

i'm still annoyed as all heck by this last 10 lbs (at least it's closer to 9 now), so have pulled out all my tricks and voodoo spells to set them free into the wild.

go forth, squishiness — go forth and find your fortune out in the big wide world!

+ beyond a bit of house frau work, farm chores, and talking to insurance, i've done very little. o.O maybe i'll make another loaf of bread. ;)

oh, wait. it's almost dinner time (in fact it's past dinner time for me). so i need to get going on that.

wfd? roasted sweet potatoes, carrots, and zucchini w/cous cous and some sort of lean protein thrown in. i think the kid will have a beyond burger and i'll have.....chicken? shrimp? something fast.

best get going on that — i want to feed mister before his next microsoft certification test this evening. ;)

I hate that it is shocking when we get good customer service now...especially for services we pay for! lol

i like playing in the snow when there is no wind blowing. and it's sunny. and like....31 degrees. lol and after 17 seconds of that, i like to run inside and put on PJS and park myself on the couch with a cup of tea. lol

thank you about the bread! i'm getting a little obsessed with it and family is annoyed. not annoyed enough to NOT eat it, just annoyed enough to make commentary. punks.

yes. yes it does. :(

right??? i was so excited by the customer service that i actually waited for the inevitable "how did we do?" survey that comes after a call with them and completed it right then and there.
