It got up to 68F today and it was positively lovely. Instead of staying home and doing some of the bazillion things that need to be done, I plopped kid in the car and off we went for horse supplements, thrifing, and a quick grocery run.

The surface of Lake Superior by Ashland is still covered in ice for the most part, but there are no more crazy weirdos out there ice fishing, four-wheeling, and/or wind sailing. Seeing people out on the ice still bothers me in a deep and visceral way, but I do have “walk across the bay to Bayfield” on my bucket list. And by walk, I mean cross-country ski or something. It’s way at the bottom of my bucket list, so if I never get around to it, so be it.

Thrifting was a little bit of an overall bust. :( I bought a pair of jeans in my next size down since my current size pants are feeling a little flappy in the thigh and butt area. There was also a little crystal heart-shaped box that was quite charming, so I had to snatch that up. The only other thing I got was a clipboard-style picture frame that I’m going to paint and use to show which chicken is the employee of the month when we go somewhere to sell eggs.
