liminal_space | no one is awake yet

it's 8 a.m. and i'm still in pjs and have bed head. i do, however, have a cup of coffee next to me, so i'm moving in the right direction i guess.

i may be a horrible teacher. lol perhaps not in the classroom itself (i think i do ok there), but in a general teachery sort of way.

so many teachers research student learning, research child development, deeply get to know the ins-n-outs of each student, plan all the damn time, talk about teaching all the damn time, etc etc etc and i'm like "i still don't know some of my kids' names and i'll be fucked if i bring work home on the weekend and i'm reading a book about zombies and robots, tyvm."

lol :( to be fair, what i'm doing now doesn't require at home work — but even when it did, i did that part grudgingly and bitched about it vociferously.

i like that word.

anyway, i do great in the classroom, but outside of it, i don't really think about it in more than passing. :(

there's a feeling of guilt admitting that.

— boo has a lesson, i believe. horse getting schooled, yo. toss me off and see what happens....chemaine won't let you get away with shit.

— kid is going to go for a fun little ride on the property. bareback and in a hackamore.

— making broccoli salad for a potluck. i may make deviled eggs, too.

— potluck this evening at boo's trainer's house. she invited all her clients and we're watching a recorded grand prix thing. i'm just going for the food and her mini horse, poof — who likes root beer. =DDDDDD

— finding a book to read. i can't handle the robot book right now. just can't.

tomorrow i have a ground lesson with boo (and may ride him). i need to try and get him a pair of trail boots so he can get some on the trail time. my trainer says he might just be getting bored — i say he's just an asshole spoiled brat.
