liminal_space | No Power Here

We have been without power since mid-morning yesterday and its return is somewhere between....today and tomorrow. Our power company is not effing around about the winds.

I mentioned that I have been off Facebook for awhile and it was really good for my headspace. I know this because I popped on over the last few days and within minutes, I felt worse. While I am -- with 100% certainty -- sure humanity deserves faith, I am equally sure that many adults are nothing more than entitled whiny bratty children. Ugh.

Day before yesterday I actually went down and saw my effing horse. GO ME. My reasonable goal is 4x a week. I'm not even adding doing anything with him, just 4 days a week to remind us both we belong to each other.

After that, 2 of those days will be working with him "for reals". Then 3 of those days.

We'll get to where we are going.

News is teachers are in the 1B round of vaccines and could start getting them late January/early February. I could be going back sooner than I thought. FFCRA did not get renewed (SO STUPID), so my out that way is off the table.

We'll see what happens. I make too much to quit, but having this time to teach from home has opened my eyes to what I'd really like to do. I just don't want to teach with social distancing in place. Ugh. My class is about collaboration and building and teams and....sigh. I don't know. SEE? WHINY BRATTY CHILD.

Later this afternoon, we're going to my trainer's house and opening presents with them. Then it's lovin' on my boy for awhile. Then home for us to do what we're doing. I said we should open everything, but both the kid and the Mister said not. Whatever, people. WHATEVER.

For dinner, we're getting Chinese food. If the power is on tomorrow, we're having cinnamon rolls for brekkie and crepes for dinner. Or fettuccini w/homemade alfredo. I DO NOT KNOW. NO POWER HAS CONFUSED ME.
