I am an animal lover. BUT....
Mar. 21st, 2021 07:51 pmSo the rescue dog we got last year? She is a fucking pain in the ass...but there's underlying goodness there that keeps me from taking her tag off and accidentally leaving the gate open. (I kid. Really.)
Today she figured the hotwire was off the gate and hopped her skinny ass over it then went for a run around the property.
It is a large property with many distractions and the girl child was freaking out while I was saying "stop chasing her!" and as soon as girl child listened, Yoti followed. Husband put the hotwire back up and hopefully that will be enough to stop her. The thing is, she is ATHLETIC and all the agility training we've been doing has not helped. lol
I think we need to put 10 lbs on her so being so sproingy isn't as easy.
We'll get there.
The Nandor puppy? He's a sweet boy that tries to do his best about everything...except when he's in puppy zoom zoom mode, then he's just a ball of energy that wants to go swimming in his water bowl.
What are you gonna do?
----
Right now he's upset and husky-talking because Yoti is in trouble and has to be babysat to the nth degree. Husband and kid went to real town (an hour away) to hit Costco and the Asian market for rice, pickled plums, and potato starch. I'm going to try my hand at tonkatsu (chicken) or karaage this week. To make up for all of the extra food and special things we've been eating this week, I'm trying to limit my special things to Wednesdays now. So, until then? Back to the micromeals 6x a day. That really does work best for me.
Tomorrow I'm going to hit the trail and see how far I get in an hour. I wish little dog was big enough for that kind of walk...but maybe I'll take Yoti.
It would serve her right. Then again, she'd probably take a big shit for me to clean up right in the middle of the trail with people watching -- so I'd be forced to scoop with an audience. >.< Ugh.
[and now, seven hours later....]
the fam is home and brought quite a haul from their shopping trips. i have enough rice, japanese mayo, and umeboshi to last awhile. a long while. yay. we are discussing getting a rice cooker, but tbh, i'm trying my hand at being frugal to see if i can do it. I KNOW I CAN! :(
Mister made me a burger (i ask for a hamburger maybe once every four months or so) and it was sad. he got fancy beef from fancy butcher and used cheddar (because that's what we had) and it was nothing like the usual 80/20 burger he makes that shrivels up and burns in its own grease. it was....restaurant quality. NOT WHAT I WANTED! he felt bad, but he shouldn't have -- i had dinner made for me. i'm good. =D (this just means my 4 month stint of "make me a burger pls" will be reduced to 1 month maybe. dunno.)
i also made myself a cup of coffee which, this late in the game, was sort of dumb.
ok.
time to do things.
