liminal_space | wednesday: it is today

because i am full of veruca salt on even my best day, i got despondent yesterday when i realized my little knick-knacks for easter were not going to make enough for a car payment. not even half of a car payment. i might could get a few car washes, though. with my mouth, i say "you know what, it's going to take time for you to figure things out and get things *working*. you don't need to make what you're making now (which is really, really good) just PART of what you're making now. you'll get there!"

my mouth knows all the right things to say.

my brain, however, was an undercurrent conversation telling me that what i'm doing and /planning/ on doing is worthless and won't even give me a return on investment. not necessarily because the work sucks -- the brain only hints at that sometimes, but also grudgingly admits a lot of the stuff is really good -- but because it's all been done before and is still being done.

today i think i'm going to just do some writing and designing for me. i want to make a laser cut frame for a cork bulletin board i have. my idea is that i engrave cartoon images from star wars to tell a story. like you'd start in the upper right corner and there would be leia and r2....then a storm trooper....then darth...then lots of pewm pewms...etc etc etc. lol

i find myself balking at writing, so am going to work through that today. so many stories to tell, so little follow through. =-D

mister is gone to town for food pick up (we are out of salad mix. wtf!?) and i'm wrangling puppy, so concentration isn't consistent.
