liminal_space | almost noon? what the heckings?

question: do you have a paid livejournal? if so, did you have any issues with paying the russians? (i ask because i'm thinking about doing it, but paying a russian business brings up some red flags for me -- using it doesn't, lol -- including identify theft/hacking/etc. mister has turned me paranoid. ;)

last night was not a great night for sleeping: busy brain at it again, even though there's really NO NEED for it. i think my jaw hurt a little and i started thinking about dentists (high anxiety) and then segued into insurance concerns and yeah, busy brain.

it will be ok. *nod*

this morning when i woke up, i tried to do a few minutes of meditation before writing. this all stems from my counselling session (which was really GOOD) and i'm trying to embrace it. she wants me to meditate to "find my center" then write my "pages" -- the thing is i am horrrrrrrible at meditating (at even the most basic level) so it was a struggle. writing my pages? i can do that shit, man.

she wanted me to keep track of dreams (one reason why i like her so much is because she brought up jungian philosophy/psychology and that made me happy) but my dreams have been really dumb the past few nights! like subconscious brain farts instead of things of substance. anyway, yeah, meditation. (or MEHditation as far as i'm concerned)

at one point along the line, i read something about journaling being a form of meditation when you're truly freewriting. i know i have found a zen-like state when writing, when i was in the zone, but those times were few.

after my "pages" (more like paragraphs), i started a pot of rice and prepared the ingredients for onigirazu. kid got "california roll" type and i made mister and i ones with leftover chicken katsu. then there was tidying up, photos of the things i'm selling for mother's day, and meandering without too much purpose.

in a few hours, we'll head down to dakota and spend some time at the barn with him. i want to make him a new stall sign and start selling those -- huge horse community here, so there may be a market...then again, wood is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive right now, so we'll see.

points of somewhat note:
* we're rewatching "community" and that show withstands the test of time.
* the puppy is growing up! little tyke.
* the weather is warming up. ugh.
* the people we play d&d with are all just a few weeks away from being "fully vaccinated"! that means IN PERSON D&D!!!!! whee!
* kid will probably take summer school and get health out of the way. she gave me stink eye when i told her this needed to happen. i just smiled. =D
* i can't find my GOOD fountain pen so am writing with a tokyo pen store one. it is surprisingly smooth and nice. o.O (i still need to find my good one...it has been with me close to 26 years now. o.O WOW.)

ok. time to eat and then advertise.
