and she was....
May. 13th, 2023 01:28 pm* curve balls have already been thrown with moving to wisconasotta. thursday's inspection showed that the roof "has reached the end of its life" and has had multiple leaks for who knows how long. water damage is bad, friends, and can result in gazillion dollar repairs. on one hand, ugh! on the other hand, this might make for some no or less cost to us already built-in equity. we'll see how things go. right now it's in everyone else's hands but ours -- we stopped all further inspections until we get THIS problem ironed out. (there are also some possible electrical issues and plumbing issues, so we need to take a beat and work this out in our heads and on paper. i'm not absolutely ready to walk away yet. my guess is i'll be ready to walk away by the end of next week. lol) if we could get this place for close to 200K, it would be worth it even with repairs. we'll just have to see what happens.
* we also have our eyes on a place a bit further away from the big water, but it's 5 mins from a huge lake so i could get my pontoon and go...pontooning. it's at the very top of our budget, the basement needs to be fully finished, there's some cosmetic work and updates, but it also is on close to 25 acres, has a large outbuilding, and a garage. so there's some potential there. it has great lady farmer farm potential, so that would be nice to walk into something that's ready for chickens, goats, garden, and -- within a much shorter period of time than if we went w/the lake house -- horses.
whatcha gonna do?

last night kid and i watched "scream" and it was fun. she's ready to watch skeery movies finally, so i can keep her. =D

my life is consumed by wait and see right now, so i'm going to just keep plugging along and try to find my zen. i think i can do that. :)
