[i am so behind in responding to comments and commenting on your entries. i'm sorry. :(]

family is packed and ready to head to las vegas this afternoon. their flight isn't until tomorrow morning, but because it's a long travel day anyway, they wanted to shave the trip to the airport off the whole thing. the tesla will be in long term parking and part of me  hopes someone steals it lol.

yeah, i honestly think it would hate the midwest.

whilst they're gone, i'm planning on cleaning, doing some decluttering, maybe doing some packing, and just enjoying some peace and quiet. yesterday i was really sick with an upset stomach and i declared it was something i ate — mister declared it was stress.

most likely it was stress, but i hate admitting that; when my stress levels get THAT high, it's just not a good thing. *nod*

i finished "hidden pictures" and it was a little more MEH than i expected. definitely not even middle of the pack in quality, but there you go. i mean, it wasn't BAD by any stretch of the imagination, but all those five star reviews? when will i learn to ignore them? WHEN?

i need to go back over recommendations made by [livejournal.com profile] mallorys_camera and some of the books [livejournal.com profile] severina2001 and [livejournal.com profile] honor_reid have read for some new ideas. if you aren't one of those three and have some ideas? share them. for the love of god, share them. :)

mister is working so hard today to make sure all is planned for while they're gone. i'm again reminded what a great guy he is to me.

it's humbling.

ok. i'm off! i think i'll start the afternoon with a clean kitchen and a loaf of bread rising. *nod* sounds good to me!

If you like Curtis Sittenfeld, you may like her book Romantic Comedy. It’s a light but intelligently written romance/drama set over the course of the pandemic.

If you want something less light and enjoy Nick Cave, I highly recommend his book Faith, Hope, and Carnage.
