^ my friend e. put a recent trail ride snip to a song that he says reminds him of me. awwww. ;)
my world is a dazzling place right now, and i am so thankful and grateful and full to bursting with happy.
there are a million things (hashtag hyperbole) i want to write about:
~ toni morrison's words of advice to writers
~ hay splinters and how to deal with them
~ my enchanting garden!
~ a room without a view
~ poetry: a love and hate relationship
~ bathing suits and hard won body positivity
~ plans for the summer: to take a class or not; that is the question (i got to use two of my favorite punctuation marks! sweet!)
~ mister's job and the loops it's throwing our way
~ my best girls
~ a time in my life when these lyrics were my life:
~ i was going to start a youtube channel showing the real world of farm life, but this bitch beat me to it. (love love love matt matthews!)
~ new doors and opportunities opening up. =D
and on the health front...
these last pounds that need to be gone are requiring far more strategizing than before; i was on a serious plateau for a month and went from losing an average of 9 lbs a month to like...3. after changing things up, it's picking up speed again and i finally dropped into a new decade. yay!
dr. sexy said that in the next few months we'll be starting the move toward maintenance, which is a great feeling! having a team of experts to help, having my "getting skinny, bitch" girls for support, and having my most beloved family be my champions has ensured that i have, from the very beginning, felt that all things were possible.
there are people who are jealous about others that lose weight — i know i've been there, felt that...but i've never been snide or dismissive of their accomplishments. i've sucked up the jealousy, got over it, and cheered them on. feeling good about other people's achievements and letting them know that steals nothing from you...i think it shows what kind of human you are (or at least want to be).
that said, i say this to the old bat who thinks her 14 lb loss has turned her into a skinny minny and periodically passive aggressively sniffs around my edges to find a place to bite....congratulations, granny. :) only 140 more to go! you can do it!
(was that passive aggressive, too? i find that skillset suddenly becoming easier. lol)
anddddddddddddddd more pictures:

+ y'all be good. k?

Date: 2025-06-03 05:43 pm (UTC)Don't I know it! Dr. Sexy had me complete a looooong questionnaire regarding exercise (because I said I didn't do any exercise programs) — he is ALL about strength training. After he looked at what I do on a daily basis with farm chores, he said I do indeed exercise more than a lot of people he sees that do "traditional" exercise programs. That made me super excited and I was all "SO I DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE, RIGHT?" and he shot me down. :( lol The classes I'm doing (barre express, target areas like butts and arms and core) has really helped. If I wasn't riding, I'd probably be at a point where I would stop the WL journey very soon, but every pound I lose is one less pound on the back of a horse. =D
I think starting the exercise classes have kicked me off the WL plateau, so definitely not stopping. #strongwomenrule =D

Date: 2025-06-03 02:11 pm (UTC)That was a great catch-up. Welcome to the passive-aggressive club. My spouse calls me on it when I show off my membership. I especially loved the second last picture, the one with two sweethearts in it.

Date: 2025-06-03 05:45 pm (UTC)*snort* i live in a land of EXPERTS at passive aggressiveness and have fought long and hard to figure out how to counter it. i guess i'm at the point where if i can't beat 'em, might as well join 'em. =D isn't that the sweetest picture? she was sooooooo small and he was sooooooo big — he may have thrown her a handful of times, but he also protected her and took care of her. he was the sweetest of boys and i'm glad he got to leave this world being loved by a little girl.
